Call aimed at funding applied projects to increase the maturity level of their technological development.

The purpose of this action is to fund applied projects to increase the maturity level of their technological development in one of the following modalities:
Proof-of-Concept Projects (PdC) — two years. Projects focused on validating ideas of proven quality may be funded if their objective is to reach a value of 3 or 4 in terms of technological maturity on the TRL scale; that is, projects aimed at developing and validating that idea at laboratory level.
Prototype Technological Validation Projects (VTP) — three years. Projects of proven quality may be funded if, starting from a previously validated idea, they seek to reach a value of 5 or 6 in terms of technological maturity on the TRL scale; that is, projects aimed at developing and validating a prototype in a relevant environment.
The following types of projects may be submitted:
Individual projects: submitted by an applicant entity and to be carried out by a research team led by a responsible principal investigator. Projects led by emerging research staff born in 1980 or later will receive special consideration in the evaluation.
Coordinated projects: consisting of two or more subprojects, which must adequately justify in the report the need for such coordination to address the proposed objectives, as well as the expected benefits. Each subproject will have its own team and principal investigator. One of the principal investigators will act as coordinator and will be responsible for the development of the project.
The participation in the project of companies or other public or private entities interested in its development and results will be mandatory, without such participation entailing any form of direct aid to them charged to the grants that may be awarded under this call.
