The purpose of this action, launched by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), is to promote independent clinical research with medicinal products for human use and/or advanced therapies by funding projects not sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry.
Projects of proven quality aimed at developing clinical trials with medicinal products for human use and/or advanced therapies, defined as gene therapy, cell therapy or tissue engineering, may be funded where they make it possible to demonstrate tangible advances for patients and provide evidence to health authorities for implementation in the SNS.
Active substances under protection, patent or data protection periods, where there is a single marketing authorisation holder, are expressly excluded.
